Dr. Bhaskar Prataprai Shah

Dr. Bhaskar Prataprai Shah is a leading Interventional and Consultant Cardiologist in Mumbai who has been practising for over 25 years (since 1986). Dr. Shah is well experienced in various aspects of Cardiology having managed acute Cardiac emergencies in different hospitals over the years. He has worked at Jaslok Hospital, Kikabai Hospital, Breach Candy Hospital, and Lilavati Hospital. He was Director, Founder Member, Consultant and Interventional Cardiologist at Asian Heart Institute and Research Centre, from 2002-07.

Since 2008, Dr. Shah has been Director of Cardiology, Consultant and Interventional Cardiologist at Jupiter Hospital (Thane). He also runs the privately owned Ashirwad Heart Hospital in Ghatkopar.

Dr. Bhaskar Shah is well versed in non-invasive Cardiology, having done over 50,000 Echocardiograms and over 50,000 Stress Tests. He is also experienced in HIS Bundle Electrocardiography and Electrophysiological Studies. Dr. Shah is also experienced in invasive Cardiac techniques having independently performed over 10,000 Cardiac Catherisations including Coronary Angiography, and over 2,500 Angioplasties. He is well versed in temporary and permanent Cardiac Pacing. He has also managed new-born infants with congenital heart disease.

Dr. Shah has multiple Research Papers to his credit and has chaired sessions and delivered numerous presentations at national and international conferences. He is currently a Director of the Indira Gandhi National Open University's PGDCC programme, and is also a Trustee of Jyot, a knowledge-based NGO. He is a Founder Patron of Dial Health Group.
